In 2001, he settled in the north, and as is traditional, Saverio often received a generous supply of local specialities in the post: spices, homemade preserves and extra virgin olive oil. As it happens, some of these supplies were given as gifts to work colleagues and friends, all of whom were so enthusiastic and intrigued by these incredible flavours that they asked where they could buy them. Over the years, these episodes went from being the exception to the rule, to the extent that Saverio began to develop the idea of meeting this market demand with a business venture of his own.
